WASP-190 b is a sizzling hot gas giant happily orbiting its star, WASP-190, far beyond our solar system. Discovered in 2019 using the transit method from the ground-based WASP-South facility, this planet is a true cosmic showstopper. It’s a bloated world, puffed up by the intense heat of its nearby star, making it a classic "hot Jupiter" with a close-in orbit that whips it around at a breathtaking pace. While we don't have its exact distance from Earth tucked away, WASP-190 b gleams as a wonderful example of the surprising variety of exoplanets out there, discovered thanks to the diligent eyes of the iKon-L CCD camera. Visiting WASP-190 b might be a little toasty, but it certainly makes for a fascinating stop on any exoplanet tour!
