TOI-5232 b is a freshly discovered exoplanet that made its debut in 2024 thanks to the keen eyes of the Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite, or TESS for short. Orbiting the star TOI-5232, this distant world caught scientists’ attention as it gracefully passed in front of its star, dimming the light just enough for us to spot it from space. While it may not have a catchy nickname yet, TOI-5232 b invites us to imagine what it might be like to orbit a star so far beyond our solar system.
