Kepler-41 b is a sizzling hot exoplanet orbiting the star Kepler-41, discovered back in 2011 thanks to the diligent eye of the Kepler Space Telescope. This fiery world was spotted using the transit method, where it briefly dims its star’s light as it passes in front. Kepler-41 b is a classic example of a “hot Jupiter,” a gas giant that orbits incredibly close to its star, making it scorchingly warm and quite the cosmic close-up act. While we don’t have an official name for this world yet, its discovery added a sparkling gem to our growing catalog of distant planets. It’s a thrilling reminder of the diverse and exotic neighborhoods scattered across our galaxy!
