Kepler-1482 b is a fascinating exoplanet orbiting the star Kepler-1482, discovered back in 2016 by the keen eyes of the Kepler Space Telescope using the transit method. This means we spotted it as it neatly passed in front of its star, causing a tiny dimming that hinted at its presence. Although it's a distant world far beyond our solar system, Kepler-1482 b sparks our imagination about the variety of planets out there in the galaxy. Thanks to the trusty Kepler CCD Array perched in space, we’re able to catch glimpses of these far-off orbs and keep dreaming about what alien skies and landscapes might look like. It’s a stellar reminder of our universe’s vastness and the endless possibilities beyond our own cosmic neighborhood.
