Kepler-1472 b orbits the star Kepler-1472 and was discovered back in 2016 thanks to the keen eyes of the Kepler Space Telescope using the transit method. This fascinating exoplanet resides in the Kepler constellation, where it silently circles its star, occasionally dimming its light just enough for us to catch a glimpse from here on Earth. Although we don’t have a special name for this world yet, it invites imagination—what might the skies look like from its surface? Thanks to the space-based Kepler CCD Array, Kepler-1472 b adds to the growing family of planets beyond our solar system, each a mysterious new chapter in the grand book of the cosmos.
