K2-385 b is a lively little exoplanet orbiting the star K2-385, discovered in 2022 using the trusty Kepler space telescope’s CCD array. This world was spotted as it playfully crossed in front of its star, causing a tiny dip in brightness that gave away its presence. While much about K2-385 b remains a mystery, you can imagine a planet closely hugging its star, warming up under stellar rays quite different from our own Sun’s. Though it’s tucked away in the K2 mission’s field of view, far beyond our solar system, K2-385 b invites us to dream about what alien skies might look like. It’s a shiny new member of the exciting galaxy of exoplanets, just waiting for more secrets to be uncovered!
