HD 101581 c orbits the star HIP 56998 and was discovered in 2025 with a little help from the Space-based Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite, or TESS, using its sharp-eyed CCD array. This intriguing world was spotted as it gracefully passed in front of its star, causing just enough of a dip in brightness for keen instruments to catch. Though we don’t have a fancy proper name for it yet, HD 101581 c is a shining example of the amazing new planets TESS is uncovering beyond our solar system. It's a cosmic dance partner bringing fresh excitement to the search for distant worlds, proving that the universe still has many surprises waiting for curious explorers like us!
