Meet GJ 3929 b, a charming little world orbiting the star GJ 3929 that was discovered in 2022 thanks to the sharp eyes of the Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS). This exoplanet made its grand debut via the transit method, where it playfully dims its star’s light as it passes in front, giving astronomers a cosmic wink. Although GJ 3929 b doesn’t have a fancy official name yet, it’s already capturing attention for its intriguing character. Spying on this planet required the high-tech TESS CCD Array up in space, proving once again that the universe loves to surprise us with new neighbors out in the vast cosmic neighborhood!
