Meet BD-14 3065 b, a fresh face in the exoplanet neighborhood discovered in 2024 by the keen-eyed Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS). This planet orbits the star BD-14 3065 A, detected as it gracefully transited—or passed in front of—its host star, causing just the right dimming to catch TESS's attention. While it doesn’t yet have a proper name, BD-14 3065 b is already making a name for itself in the vast cosmos! Thanks to TESS’s clever CCD array, we're able to glimpse worlds like this one far beyond our solar system. It’s a reminder that out in space, every little dip in starlight might mean another planet waiting to be explored. Ready for an interstellar adventure? Keep your eyes on TESS!
